As in the realm of education, many grievances in education also arise from general poverty. Poor education results in poor economic perspectives, which in turn reduce the potential expenditures for the education of the next generation. Microfinance can help break this vicious circle. Thanks to better income, more children can attend school. These children then have more opportunities to generate better income in the future. For women, MFIs also serve as important meeting points, where experiences can be exchanged and valuable information can be conveyed. Many MFIs also offer regular education events for the local population. |
